Potty training tips

Postby Tatyana Fanshteyn » Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:21 am

I am working with my son on potty training and decided to share some tips.
what worked for me is
1-putting him on the potty every 30 min during the day
2-limiting how much he drinks
3-after he went pee pee we would do a pee pee dance and clap lol its funny but he really like it.
4-just sticking to the schedule untill the child gets used to it.

We have a problem w/ that. My son is 2.5 and some times he's ok about going (we don't use a potty though he goes on a regular toilet) he even asks to go some times. But other times he won't go, and gets very upset when we ask him over and over. Also several time when he had to go #2 he would cry so that we'll put him back in the diper.
Should we wait?

It sounds to me like you should stop for a week or so and then try it again. why i say for a week because its summer time now and its the best time to teach them and i dont want u to miss out on all summer but do it gradually. first teach him to go pee and when he mastered that start teaching him that number 2 also goes to the same place.
