Mercy Watson by Kate DiCamillo
I discovered the series a while ago and decided to share it with you since my kids absolutely love it.
This is an adventure of very lovable pig (Mercy Watson) who is a fan of toast with a great deal of butter on it. She gets herself and her owners into trouble and then ends up saving the day. The story line is very funny for both kids and adults. The illustrations are great and colorful.
I totally recommend this book to kids ages 2 and up.
Check out other books by Kate DiCamillo (THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX, BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE, THE TIGER RISING, THE MIRACULOUS JOURNEY OF EDWARD TULANE, and GREAT JOY)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle this is one of my son’s (2 year old) favorite book. We always made fun of my 2yo for eating too much, so when my mom got him this book he decided that the story was about him. Use different voices through out the book and you’re kid will love it.

My son’s second favorite book is Dinosaur Roar by Paul Stickland.
This Book is a great way to learn opposites, it also rhymes so you’re kid will know it my heart in no time. I think my whole family knows it by heart.

My 2.5 year old's favorite books are now I Spy. He likes board books which have pics of the things you're looking for on one site and and the the bigger pic on the other.
